Maxwell Djantou Nana, and three other Cameroonians are set for the semifinals of the Mixed Martial Arts promotion, Professional Fighters League (PFL) billed for Kigali, Rwanda. The much-talked of event which is the inaugural of the PLF Africa season is slated for Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda.
It will be an opportunity for Maxwell Djantou to return to the PLF Smartcage alongside other fighters as Africa’s best fighters will compete in the Heavyweight, Welterweight, Featherweight, and Bantamweight divisions. Il will be a foretaste of the finals billed for Benin in December 2025.
Maxwell Djantou Nana will face Justin Clarke, South Africa’s undefeated fighter in the Heavyweight category. Maxwell Nana’s is eyeing to floor Clarke, to demystify his invincibility, while Clarke wants to use the record to up his score of wins. In the Welterweight class, Octave Ayinda, who blasted through his previous opponent with a first-round TKO in Johannesburg to cruise to the semis, will face Angola’s Shido Boris Esperança in a highly anticipated semifinal bout.
In another Welterweight clash of the night, rising star Emilios Dassi; a product of the Francis Ngannou Foundation will square off with Guinea-Bissau’s Yabna N’tchala as both men seek to inch closer to glory. Dassi, PFL said in a press release, “carries frightening knockout power” reminiscent of his countryman, Francis Ngannou.
PFL Rwanda show will feature 11 fights in total: eight semi-final bouts, two alternate bouts, and one showcase fight.
In one of the alternate bouts of the night, Cameroon’s undefeated Alain Majorique will take on Guinea’s Mohamed Camara in the Featherweight division.
Headlining the card, Nigeria’s unorthodox Featherweight star Patrick Ocheme meets Burkina Faso’s dynamic striker Abdoul Razac Sankara, who rides into the matchup with momentum from a “Knockout of the Night” performance at the eliminatory round in Johannesburg last month. PFL will crown its first-ever Africa Champions across the four divisions at the tournament final in Benin come December.
