Atanga Nji Paul, the Minister of Territorial Administration, who doubles as the government agent in matters of elections in Cameroon on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 visited the Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation, SOPECAM, and the National Printing Press. The aim of the visit was to appraise the production of electoral material for the October 12, 2025 Presidential election. After working visits in both institutions, the MINAT boss lauded the works so far done by both corporations, and especially the National Printing Press for their promptness in the production of electoral materials allocated to the institution.
The Minister of Territorial Administration was accompanied by his close collaborators, especially those in charge of electoral matters in MINAT. The first stop was at the Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation, SOPECAM, where the MINAT boss and his collaborators were heartily welcomed by the Director General, Marie-Claire Nnana also accompanied by her close collaborators. After a brief working visit, the Minister was taken round the various production stages of ballots and magazines. After assessing the work, MINAT Boss commended the SOPECAM Director for a job well done which was evident in the finishing stage of the printing of various electoral materials which were presented to him. From SOPECAM, the Minister of Territorial Administration continued at the National Printing Press where he was satisfied with the production of envelopes and ballot papers. At the working visit, he was received by the Director General, Oyono Bika, who presented the printed items already produced. They included 10,400,000 electoral envelopes, 563,000 ballot papers for the PCRN and 563,000 ballot papers for the UDC. The Minister’s working visit was in line with his duty within the state, to accompany the election process.
