My dear brothers and sisters of Bamenda,

With deep sorrow, we have received news of the devastating floods that have led to the loss of lives and affected many families in your community.

This tragedy has left many grieving, displaced, and struggling to come to terms with the impact. We stand in full solidarity with all those affected during this difficult time.

To the families who have lost their loved ones, we extend our heartfelt condolences. No words can truly capture the pain of such loss, but please know that you are not alone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We also extend our compassion to all those who have been injured, displaced, or have lost their homes and livelihoods. Your pain is shared, and your resilience is seen.

We acknowledge the efforts of rescue teams, community members, and all those who have stepped in to support. In moments like this, our shared humanity and unity matter most.

This situation calls for continued support, solidarity, and reflection on how we can better protect our communities from such tragedies in the future.

May the souls of the departed rest in peace.

May comfort and strength be granted to all those affected.

And may we continue to stand together as one people.

In solidarity,

Esther Omam
