Senator Seidou Mbombo Njoya, former FECAFOOT President, who doubles as Vice President of the Divisional Campaign Team for the Noun Division has vowed to turn the tides in favour of President Paul Biya I the Noun Division, hitherto the fief of the Cameroon Democratic Union, CDU. He made the vow on Monday, September 29, 2025 as the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, launched campaigns in the historic town of Foumban.
The CPDM mega-meeting presided by Daniel Njankouo Lamère was attended by the Sultan of Foumban, El Hadj Nabil Mbombo Njoya and other top-notch CPDM militants of Foumban.
Daniel Njankouo Lamère told CPDM militants to be true ambassadors of the party by remaining disciplined, peaceful, and mobilised people of all walks of life to vote Paul Biya, candidate of the ruling CPDM party. He added that what was needed was an overwhelming victory for Paul Biya, and for this to happen, militants should remain calm and avoid all forms of provocation.
However, while the CPDM campaign team was in Foumban on Monday, the CDU Presidential candidate, Hon. Patricia Tomaino Ndam Njoya had kick-started her presidential campaigns in Yaounde, the Capital City of Cameroon on Saturday, September 27, 2025. She unveiled an ambitious governance programme that hinged on a more inclusive and transparent Cameroon. She stated that if voted into office, her government will embark on constitutional reforms, adding that there will be a two round electoral system for the presidency, the reduction of ministries, the respect of article 66 of the Constitution and the creation of a Court of Auditors to curb the endemic corruption in the country.
It should be noted that the Noun Division is known as the fief of the CDU, where the Foumban Council and most elected officials are militants of the CDU. Senator Seidou Mbombo Njoya was appointed by President Paul Biya to replace his late father who was also an appointed Senator.
