Cameroon Quartet Set For PFL Africa Showdown In Lagos

The Professional Fighters League, PFL, has unveiled the complete fight card for PFL Africa Lagos, Nigeria, set for June 13, 2026, at the Eko Convention Centre, with Cameroon strongly represented across tournament and showcase bouts.

Four Mixed Martial Arts Lions are on the 13-fight card, which includes elite fighters from Africa, Europe, and South America, highlighting Cameroon’s growing influence in African MMA.

The event will feature opening-round bouts in the PFL Africa Bantamweight and Lightweight tournaments, with fighters competing for a chance to move closer to the championship title and $100,000 prize money by the end of the year.

Cameroon’s Octave Ayinda, known as “The Bantu Warrior”, will face Nigeria’s Patrick Ocheme, who is known by the cage name “Star Boi” in a Lightweight Tournament First Round matchup. With an aggressive style and finishing ability, Ayinda enters the competition as a dangerous opponent, ready to make a statement and secure his place in the next round of the tournament.

Another Cameroonian to watch is Alain Majorique. The 2025 PFL Africa finalist, who competes under the cage name “The African Assassin,” will square off against Liberia’s Dwight Joseph in a high-stakes Bantamweight Tournament First Round Bout as both begin their quest for championship gold and a $100,000 prize.

After missing out on the title last year, Majorique comes to the fight ready to ‘assassinate’ his opponent and book his semifinal berth.

Besides the title contenders, two other Cameroonian fighters are locked in for explosive showcase bouts.

Rising star, Styve Ngono, who made his PFL Africa debut in December last year is set to face Nigeria’s Richard Muzaan in a  Light Heavyweight Showcase Bout. Ngono, who goes by the cage name “The Revolution,” goes into the fight ready to overcome the home crowd advantage of his opponent and extend his current seven-win record.

Newly signed by the PFL, Cameroonian prospect Jordan Fongno will be making his PFL Africa debut in Lagos as he faces undefeated homeboy Yahaya Yahuza in a Middleweight Showcase Bout – a matchup highly anticipated by fans following their previous rivalry outside the PFL Africa cage.

Headlining the historic event is Nigerian featherweight standout and PFL Africa 2025 champion Wasi “The Nigerian Jaguar” Adeshina, who faces Spain’s Ignacio “Nacho” Campos in a showcase main event before a home crowd.

The card also includes two women’s bouts with undefeated Nigerian policewoman set to face Brazil’s Elisandra Ferreira in a women’s Strawweight showcase bout of two fighters carrying strong momentum into Lagos.
