In Matthew 22:14, it is written, “Many are called, but few are chosen.” This saying comes from a parable Jesus told in the Bible, and it means that while the invitation to salvation or success is offered to a large group of people, only a smaller group actually accepts the invitation and meets the requirements to succeed. We can transcend this to the Decennial Trendsetter Awards organised by The Voice Newspaper, where many were called, and few were chosen. In a very special way, many were called but Edison Fru Ndi, CEO of Dreamland Connect, was chosen as the Pillar of North West Economic Resilience and Entrepreneurial Perseverance. It could not have been otherwise, given that Edison Fru Ndi, CEO of Dreamland Connect, and who also doubles as the North West Regional Delegate of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Crafts, CCIMA, is variously described in all circles as the ‘Last Man Standing’ in the NW economic sector. While the unfortunate crises bites, many entrepreneurs have rightly or wrongly abandoned the North West Region to implant their businesses elsewhere. Edison Fru Ndi has not bulged and has instead given reason and hope to the North West Region by staying put and executing projects on record time.
It was therefore justified by The Voice Newspaper, when they inscribed on Edison’s Award, “This award is conferred upon Edison Fru Ndi for the unmatched mettle in sustaining a multi-sectoral empire amidst a decade of adversity. While others saw obstacles, he saw a duty to remain; this honours recognises the CEO who transformed Dreamland Holdings into a fortress of stability for the Bamenda economy.
The Decennial Award, is just one of some many awards that have been conferred on Edison Fru Ndi as a pat on his back and the icing of the cake of his success story.
